Guidelines On Toys For Cats And Dogs |
Toys can
help to keep pets mentally stimulated as well as having fun
and exercise with their owners and families. |
Choosing the right toys is important, dog toys
are determined by the size and chewing action. A
dog may be a |
powerful chewer which would require a very tough
toy which can not be destroyed easily. The
larger the size of dog |
the larger the toy needs to be. A dog toy should
be large enough so it can not be swallowed. You
should therefore |
check the size of the toy in respect to your dog's jaw size.
Toys should
be inspected frequently for any damage, inspect the toy
under a bright light looking for any cracks, |
openings or loose parts. If you see any then
throw the toy away and replace it with a new
one. If you notice any |
parts missing from the toy and can not find them
anywhere you should inform your veterinarian
straight away. |
Remember: Toys are not food products and are not
for consumption in
any manner what so ever. |
Your pet
should always be supervised when playing. Your pet's safety
is your responsibility. You are responsible |
for choosing suitable toys for your pet. Always
store toys not being used away from your pets.
Clean and inspect |
toys frequently. Pet toys and accessories are
not for use by children, store all pet toys
away from children. |
